Hearing a case against blasphemous content on social media, Justice Siddqiui said the court may order the government to conduct a referendum to elicit public opinion if they want social media or not.
Appearing before the court, Secretary Interior Arif Khan said the case made progress as some people have been arrested and intelligence agencies have been approached for the purpose.
Meantime, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official also submitted that two to three more arrests are likely to be made today. DG FIA said a case has been lodged agains the unknown accused under the clauses of laws related with blasphemy and terrorism.
Several leaders hailing from religious parties also attended the hearing.
