The timetable for Hajj flights taking place under the government programme has been made available by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. According to a statement made by Senator Talha Mehmood, the first flight flying from Islamabad on May 21 would mark the beginning of Pakistan's Hajj flights for 2023. The intended pilgrims will also depart from Karachi and Lahore for Saudi Arabia.
Next, flights from Multan and Quetta are slated to depart on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, after the first Hajj flight from Sialkot departs on Monday. The final Hajj flight will leave on June 20, while flights to Rahim Yar Khan and Sukkur will depart on June 6 and 7, respectively.
Dr Nasir Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Dawood, deputy interior minister of Saudi Arabia, came in Pakistan for a two-day trip as a part of the "Road to Makkah" initiative. The project intends to make immigration procedures for pilgrims easier and faster, resulting in a hassle-free journey.
During his visit, the Saudi official was supposed to complete and sign a project-related agreement. He was also set to meet with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Federal Minister for Narcotics Control, and the Chief of Army Staff.
The "Road to Makkah" programme, which aims to provide simple and practical immigration services for pilgrims, has been started in five nations, including Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, and Bangladesh.
