Go Energy to Start Keenjhar Lake 500 MW Floating Solar Project

Go Energy Pvt Ltd to develop a 500 MW floating solar power facility on Keenjhar Lake, providing renewable energy to K-Electric via the STDC's transmission line.

On Keenjhar Lake, Go Energy Pvt Ltd plans to develop a 500 MW floating solar power facility. The goal of this large-scale project is to use the transmission line of the Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company (STDC) to provide K-Electric with renewable energy.

In order to improve the region's electrical infrastructure, the STDC is collaborating with private businesses. This partnership will be essential to meeting the region's energy needs.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a 600 MW transmission line has also been granted in addition to the floating solar project. The Gul Ahmed Group Power Company and Gul Ahmed Renewable Energy, both of which will produce 50 MW of power, are parties to this memorandum of understanding.

These projects represent a major advancement in Sindh's transmission networks and sustainable energy solutions. The implementation of these projects offers a more dependable and effective supply of electricity, while also demonstrating the region's commitment to renewable energy.

In addition, the establishment of the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SEPRA) highlights continued efforts to guarantee that consumers may continue to afford electricity. SEPRA will be essential in supervising the procurement procedures to guarantee economy and openness in the energy industry.
