With a completion date of October 2025, Pakistan Railways intends to construct a 105-kilometer rail route that will link the Thar Coal mines to Port Qasim. Pakistan's economy will be supported by the improved bulk transportation this new rail line will bring about within the nation.
The rail link, which would begin in Islamkot and go to Chhor, will facilitate the transportation of coal to other regions of Pakistan. In doing so, it will give the nation's vital industries—such as textiles and cement—an alternative fuel source that is less expensive.
