In a tragic incident at the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Y Block in Lahore, a guy allegedly motivated by the popular online game PUBG shot and murdered a young Dolphin Police officer and badly wounded another.

Hafiz Nauman, the officer who died, had been married for a year. According to the preliminary investigation, the armed intruder shot Nauman in the chest from a very close distance of two feet.

Nauman and his colleague were attempting to catch the gunman in a crowded business area when the incident occurred. Unfortunately, one of the bullets entered Nauman's lungs and killed him. Constable Mohsin was also shot, sustaining significant injuries to his chest and leg.

The shooter, identified as Asif but also known as Asu, was subsequently apprehended in Patoki by authorities. During a police encounter, Asu was slain by his accomplices.According to an official, Asu became hooked to PUBG games and was inspired by the game's aggressive nature. He also stated that this is not the first time the game has been associated with violent incidents.

Last year in Kahna, a 14-year-old PUBG enthusiast shot his whole family, including his mother and two younger sisters.
