The Ruet-e-Hilal committee, Pakistan's official moon-sighting organisation, will assemble tomorrow in Karachi, the nation's largest city, to look for reports of the Zilhaj crescent. Members of several government agencies, including the Ministry of Religious Affairs, SUPARCO, Met Office, and Ministry of Science and Technology at the Pakistan Meteorological Department, will join the committee, which is chaired by Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad.
District and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees will meet simultaneously at their respective headquarters for related issues.
The Zil Hajj moon is anticipated to be seen on June 19 and Eidul Adha is anticipated to be observed on June 29, according to a prior forecast from the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Some areas of Pakistan are expected to see cloudy conditions during the moon sighting, although the crescent moon should be visible on June 19 for more than an hour after sunset. The 20th of the following month is anticipated to start.
The cabinet division has already released a statement outlining three public holidays for Eidul Adha on June 29, 30, and July 1 for people who are wondering how many vacations there will be this year. These dates, however, are dependent on moon sightings. Following the committee's conclusion, the federal government will issue a separate announcement regarding holidays.
