After Increasing the Rate by rs7.5 per Unit, Nepra Publishes a New Electricity Pricing

100 Units Monthly

The basic rate for this slab has increased from Rs13.4 per unit to Rs18.36 per unit, which will result in an increase of about Rs500 in electricity consumers' bills if the government accepts NEPRA's recommendations. The bare minimum charge is Rs. 1840.

200 Units Monthly

The entire bill will climb from Rs3,700 to Rs4,700 for those consuming 200 power units or more and will cost Rs1,000 extra. The base tariff will increase to 23.91 per unit for this slab.

300 Units Monthly

A person's monthly expenses could reach Rs 8,000 or more if they drink 300 units or more.

400 Units Monthly

Customers who consumed 400 or more units of electricity and utilised ACs and other equipment even occasionally will receive a minimum charge of Rs12,300.

500 Units Monthly

People who use 500 power units or more may see a significant increase in their electricity bills, which might reach Rs 16,000 per month.
