Ten bogies veered off the tracks as a result of the disaster, causing pandemonium and harm to the passengers.

However, the up track's traffic has been stopped.

The deceased and injured are being sent to Nawabshah's People's Medical Hospital.

In addition to the rescue effort, an emergency has been declared in the local hospitals, according to DC Nawabshah's Shehryar Gul Memon. He added that the area has been given ambulances and rescue personnel to prepare for a relief operation.

As officials arrived on the scene to investigate the situation, the cause of the derailment is not yet known.

Paramilitary forces have already departed for the area on orders from the DG Rangers Sindh, Major General Azhar Waqas, to support the civil administration's rescue and relief efforts.

Khawaja Saad Rafique, the minister of railways, stated during a press conference that initial reports indicated the train was going at a typical speed.

He claimed that in the serious train accident, "sabotage" and "mechanical fault" cannot be ruled out.
