The Monthly Rent For Gas Meter Has Increased From 40 To 500 upees.

Meter rents have grown significantly due to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), adding to the population's already dire situation.

Due to new rules, consumers must now pay a minimum of Rs 500 per month, even if they do not use gas, as the monthly charge for a gas meter has just risen from Rs 40 to Rs 500.

According to media reports citing the spokesman for the country's sole gas provider, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) decision was implemented despite a serious financial crisis. The decision in November and December will not affect customers with petrol bills under 0.9 cubic hectare.

In February of this year, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) made a huge rise of over 124 percent for specific categories of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines and Sui Southern Gas Company consumers public.
