The local currency increased by Rs11.5 during intraday trade to reach a price of approximately Rs274 in Interbank.
As a result of the staff-level agreement being ultimately signed with the International Monetary Fund, the rupee increased by Rs5 against the dollar on Monday and was trading at Rs285 on the open market.
Economic indicators began to show signs of improvement as soon as the nation secured urgently required funding from a multilateral lender.
