How to Find Your Stolen or Lost iPhone in Few Steps
If you lose your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch or believe it could have been stolen, you should know how to protect your data.

Use Find My and safeguard your data if you misplace your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch or suspect it may have been stolen.

Use a map to find your device.

Use the Find My app on another Apple device that is registered to you, or go to iCloud.com/find and sign in to find your device. The absence of your device from the list suggests that Find I was not turned on. Even when Find I was deactivated, you may still safeguard your account.

Label as lost

You may lock your smartphone remotely by activating a remote passcode after identifying it as lost, protecting your data. Apple Pay on the lost smartphone is also turned off as a result. The misplaced smartphone may also display a customized message with your contact information.

Inform your local police enforcement of your missing device.

Law police can request the serial number of your gadget.

Declare a theft and loss

You can ask for a new iPhone by claiming if your stolen iPhone has AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss coverage.

Delete your gadget remotely

You can use Find My to find a device or play a sound on one previously erased and has iOS 15, iPadOS 15, or a later version installed. If not, you won't be able to locate the device or make a sound after the deletion. If you have AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss coverage, don't delete the device from Find My or your Apple ID.

Converse with your wireless provider

You should notify your wireless provider if the misplaced device is an iPhone or an iPad with cellular connectivity. Ask the carrier to terminate your account to stop receiving calls, messages, and data use. You may file a claim if your cellphone carrier's plan covers the gadget.

Delete your account's missing device.

Maintain your lost iPhone's connection to Find My or your Apple ID until your claim is approved if you have AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss coverage.
