Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman, tweeted on April 29 to thank China for transporting 216 Pakistani nationals from Port Sudan to Jeddah on board a Chinese naval ship called the Weishanhu.
The spokeswoman for the Chinese Navy tweeted: "A batch of 216 Pakistani nationals arrived in Jeddah today onboard Chinese Navy's Weishanhu from Port Sudan. We appreciate this act of kindness and support from our Chinese friends.
Pakistan and China have worked together to safely evacuate 573 Pakistani citizens from Sudan, including the most recent group of 97 people who landed at JIA in Karachi this morning through Jeddah in a PAF C-130 plane.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that the "top priority" is still the safe evacuation of every Pakistani and their return to their country.
