It is the account of a young man who rode his bicycle to Madinah Munawara after travelling for 85 days to achieve his deep desire to perform hajj.
Saqib Rehman, a Pakistani aspirant, began his journey in February with all his passion and determination and reached his target, Madina, in 85 days in May.
Every Muslim must perform the Hajj at least once in their lifetime, as it is the fifth pillar of Islam and there must never be a good reason not to. Every year, during the month of Dhul-Hijjah, millions of Muslims from all over the world travel to Makah Muqarma to do the hajj with complete dedication and to earn the right to be called pilgrims.
Saqib Rehman had a unique dream in which he rode his bicycle to Medina and smashed all previous records for his devotion to his Rasool (PBUH) and to Allah.
Saqib Rehman said as follows:
"I couldn't believe my eyes that I finally did it, and when I covered the distance of 4,000 Km in just 85 days, it was just like a dream come true feeling," said the pilgrim. "I felt very lucky and amused to see the beauty of my prophet's (PBUH)city, Madinah."
He was welcomed warmly by Saudis and Pakistanis before continuing on his bicycle to Makah to undertake the hajj. He said he had a wonderful trip and wonderful recollections.
