An intriguing finding has been made in space by a group of scientists led by Professor Abhijit Chakraborty of the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad. They have discovered an extremely dense extraterrestrial world that is around 13 times bigger than Jupiter, our solar system's largest planet. The scientists at PRL have found three exoplanets, including this one.

To make this finding, scientists from Germany, India, Switzerland, and the United States collaborated. At the Gurushikhar Observatory in Mount Abu, they made use of a unique tool known as the PRL Advanced Radial-velocity Abu-sky Search spectrograph (PARAS). They were able to precisely gauge the planet's mass thanks to this device. The recently discovered exoplanet is extremely dense, with a density of 14 grammes per cubic centimetre.

With the use of this innovative technique, the team has made important strides in astronomy. They discovered these extraterrestrial planets around TOI-4603, an F-type subgiant star. Using NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), they looked at the star.

One of the few large giant planets with a very high density, the exoplanet they found is also known as TOI 4603b or HD 245134b. Its mass lies between that of large giant planets and that of light brown dwarfs. As a result, it adds something useful to the scant number of objects in this mass range that we are aware of.
