During a public gathering in Lahore, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (Pml-N) shared his vision for turning Pakistan into an economic powerhouse. Speaking from London, he observed the 25th Youm-e-Takbeer Day and spoke about the difficulties he encountered during Pakistan's nuclear tests, including offers of billions of dollars and threats.
Despite the challenges, Nawaz Sharif emphasised his success in making Pakistan a nuclear power, which stands for the defence and dignity of the nation. He expressed worry about the obstacles to economic development, such as the depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee and the rising costs of necessities like flour.
Nawaz Sharif urged the country to concentrate on commemorating the events of May 28, 1998, which symbolise progress and expansion, and he strongly denounced the violence that took place on May 9. Maryam Nawaz, the PML-N's chief organiser, backed her father's position and emphasised his dedication to placing Pakistan's national interests first in developing its nuclear capability. Imran Khan, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), came under fire from her, who accused him of encouraging violence and threatened those participating with terrorism charges.
