Unsettling research indicates that Pakistan wastes $4 billion worth of food each year.

According to a disturbing research, Pakistan wastes food annually worth $4 billion.Pakistan wastes 26% of its annual food production, claims a report from the Ministry of National Food Security & Research.

According to the survey, 19.6 million tonnes of food are wasted in Pakistan each year.The survey also showed that despite the measures taken to maintain food security, the majority of food items are wasted because they don't satisfy the standards for appearance, size, and colour.

Pakistan, while being an agricultural nation, is currently experiencing a food scarcity, particularly in light of the recent floods and severe rain.
