Shaheen Rejoins Team as Pcb Names 16-Player Squad for Test Series Against Sri Lanka
For their next away series against Sri Lanka, Pakistan has recruited fast bowler Shaheen Afridi to the Test list.

Shaheen Afridi, a fast bowler, has been added to Pakistan's Test roster for their forthcoming away series against Sri Lanka. On Saturday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made this announcement. Abrar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Noman Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed as the wicketkeeper, Saud Shakeel, Shaheen Afridi, and Shan Masood are also members of the squad.

The selection committee has assembled a roster with a good balance of newbies and seasoned players. Aamir Jamal and Mohammad Huraira are brand-new to the group. Six specialist hitters, four fast bowlers, two keeper-batters, four spinners, and four fast bowlers make up the lineup, which was assembled in response to the conditions they will encounter in Sri Lanka.

In the third cycle of the ICC World Test Championship, the series will be Pakistan's first assignment. Shaheen Afridi highlighted his pleasure to be back in the Test side and his desire to have an influence on the series. He is only one wicket away from reaching a century of Test wickets. The team will get together in Karachi on July 3 for a training camp before leaving on July 9 for Sri Lanka.
