Youm-e-Takbeer, which honours the momentous occasion when Pakistan successfully conducted nuclear testing in the Chaghai hills 25 years ago, is being joyfully observed in Pakistan today. These tests ensured regional security and restored the balance of power, making Pakistan the sixth nuclear-armed country in the world and the first in the Islamic world.
Due to the acquisition of nuclear weapons, Youm-e-Takbeer is incredibly significant in the history of Pakistan because it established the country's defence capability and power balance.
President Arif Alvi praised Pakistan for their great success in obtaining nuclear weapons while reiterating the importance of preserving a balance of power in the area. He praised the scientists and engineers who were instrumental in Pakistan becoming a nuclear power so quickly.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that the country's defence and sovereignty were unconquerable and emphasised that Youm-e-Takbeer stood for an unflinching dedication to defending those interests. For their contributions to Pakistan's nuclear programme, the former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto received recognition for their patriotism. The Prime Minister urged the country to continue the spirit of Youm-e-Takbeer in order to attain economic independence and sovereignty.
The Pakistan Army also paid respect to those who worked on the nuclear programme, praising their brilliance and tenacity in overcoming multiple obstacles to achieve nuclear deterrence.
