On June 11, Australia became the first men's team in the history of the International Cricket Council (ICC) to win all three sorts of world championships. They became the Test cricket champions by defeating India in the World Test Championship final at The Oval.
Australia missed the championship final in the first cycle, but by taking first place, they were guaranteed a seat in the second cycle. Australia played incredibly well in the final and beat India by a sizable margin after losing a series in India earlier this year. Australia performed incredibly well and won all five days of the competition under the leadership of Pat Cummins.
Australia has also been successful in other media. They captured the first of their four subsequent 50-over World Cup victories in 1987, becoming them the tournament's most successful team. By defeating the West Indies in the championship match, they also took home the ICC Champions Trophy in 2006.
Despite their prior struggles in the T20 format, Australia won the T20 World Cup in 2021. Australia overcome obstacles and captured the coveted T20 championship under the leadership of Aaron Finch.
