GAZA - In its pursuit of Hamas, Israel persisted in its attacks on the Gaza Strip, demolishing residential buildings. Since October 7, Jewish forces have killed twice as many children in the enclave as there have been in all of Palestine since 1967.
Since the conflict broke out on October 7, over 13,000 people have died in the Gaza Strip, according to officials. 3,500 women and 5,500 children were among the dead, according to the DG media office, while over 30,000 others were injured.
Over 6,000 people are still unaccounted for, the majority of them are women and children. 166 mosques sustained damage and 83 mosques were completely destroyed during the ongoing bombardment. There were also targets among churches.
The majority of local health centers and hospitals are closed, and Israeli forces have targeted 55 ambulances. Gaza said that Israel and the international community were solely to blame for the ongoing crimes committed in the Gaza Strip.
In light of the dire circumstances, the UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories declared that there is nowhere left to hide and urged governments to immediately demand and uphold a ceasefire.
Since October 7, when Hamas fighters launched surprise attacks across the border into Israel, killing about 1,200 Israelis and taking over 200 hostages, Israel has been bombing Gaza and other areas of the occupied Palestinian territories with its aircraft.
On Sunday, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan announced that on Monday, ministers from Arab and Muslim nations will travel to China as part of a tour aimed at bringing an end to the conflict in Gaza.
