In Pakistan, the Passing Percentage for Intermediate and Matric Exams Will Rise to 40%
After all school boards decided to raise the passing rate from 33 to 40%, students in Pakistan will find it more difficult to pass the matriculation and intermediate exams.

Students in Pakistan will have a harder time passing the matriculation and intermediate exams now that all educational boards have voted to raise the passing percentage from 33 to 40 percent.

All educational boards are following the Federal Board's lead in raising the passing mark requirement, and students who fail more than two subjects will not advance to the next grade.

Officials recently had a two-day meeting where they decided that the minimum passing score should be 40 out of 100 and that Matric and Inter students must study the Quran.

Additionally, board chairs determined that a standard result card would be implemented throughout Pakistan, and administrators opted to move the exam period from March to April to May to June.

Members of the board also resolved to name the Inter-board Sports Committee Chairman.
